Carter Volume 1, Issue 1

Carter,
We did it! One year successfully completed!

I found out your Mom was pregnant the way most people find out their wives are pregnant: by opening a gift bag full of wiffleballs in a parking lot that had positive pregnancy tests hidden under them in the bottom of the bag.
You’ll soon find out that [...]

Carter, Volume 0, Issue 11

Carter-
You are now 11 months old. The big ‘1’ is quickly approaching.
In just under 2 weeks you’ll be experiencing a variety of “firsts” as we are taking a trip to Disney World with Grandpa and Grandma and your aunts and uncle.

I’m nervous for the plane ride. I hope your ears don’t hurt too bad. [...]

Carter, Volume 0, Issue 10

Carter-
You are now 10 months old, and still only have as much hair as a 10-day old.
Your body seems to take the quality over quantity approach to hair, and by quality I mean length. You have roughly five or six hairs that would almost hang over your eyes if they didn’t stick straight up in [...]

Carter’s Valentine’s Day Photos

Sarah’s idea of using white felt pinned against a wall, with a piece of plexiglass for Carter to sit on to get a nice reflection worked amazingly well.

The rest of the set can be found here.

Carter, Volume 0, Issue 9

Carter-
You are now nine months old.
They say that history is written by the winners, but in your case it is written by the parent with the nice penmanship. Your baby book is kept up-to-date by your Mother, which lists everything from what the weather was like the day we brought you home from the [...]

Bonk!

Carter – Volume 0, Issue 8

Carter-
You are now 8 months old and you have reached a major achievement: you are now completely mobile.

Long gone are the days of simply putting you on the bed with Tigger while your Mom and I put away laundry. Now, as soon as I plop you down anywhere you are immediately crawling, in some cases [...]

Sleepy

Carter’s Christmas Photo

Sarah had the idea of buying a big piece of white felt from a craft store and pinning it to a wall in the basement. We then waited until mid-day when there was the most light and snapped a few hundred photos. It worked great.

You can see outtakes here, here, and here.

Carter – Volume 0, Issue 7

Carter-
You are now seven months old.
It’s been quite an eventful month when it comes to milestones
You celebrated your first Halloween, and did so as a shark. Your Mom and I took you to a few houses in Grandma and Grandpa’s neighborhood. Each house we stopped at asked if you were eating candy yet, where we [...]
